I've been very, very bad. \u00a0I haven't been keeping up with the blog. \u00a0I'm sorry about that but I've been bad for a mighty good reason - I've been working hard on Peter's story - \u00a0\"A Magical Forever.\" \u00a0It should be out before Christmas so y'all be sure to add it to your wish list.<\/p>\n
This will be a quick blog and mostly b\/c I saw another blog that caught my twisted fancies. \u00a0It was by Ellen Arnison and titled: \u00a0\"Why Fifty Shades of Grey Hero Christian Grey Has To Be A Scotsman.\"<\/a> It's no mystery why that caught my fancy and drug Muse away from Peter's Regency England.<\/p>\n Anyone who has read my book - \"A Faerie Fated Forever\" - knows that I love me some Scots. \u00a0I especially love that rugged, no nonsense breed that inhabits the Highlands. \u00a0Don't we all? \u00a0And notice I said - inhabits, present tense. \u00a0I've not yet had the privilege of seeing Scotland personally. \u00a0In my imagination the Highlands of that land are still full of warring clans led by lairds who hate the English and still manage to fall madly mad for a lovely English Rose.<\/p>\n And anyone who has read this blog knows that I love me some Christian Grey too. \u00a0I see him in my twisted mental meanderings - he's standing by the wall of windows, outclassing everything in his posh Escala condo. \u00a0His hair is even more rumpled than usual and he's wearing those pants - yes, the grey ones cut just so.<\/p>\n Ms. Arnison's article links to a Guardian article<\/a> relating that the French are turning up their \"snooty Gallic noses\" at \"Fifty Shades.\" \u00a0Why? \u00a0Here are Ms. Arnison's thoughts<\/a>:<\/p>\n Instead of Mummy Porn they call it Housewife Porn<\/p>\n Well, they would, wouldn\u2019t they? The French think they invented sex \u2013 doing it or writing about it.\u00a0Dangerous Liaisons<\/em>, the Marquis de Sade (who gave us sadism, in every sense) Anne Desclos (secret author of\u00a0Story of O<\/em>), all French. They even invented the phrase \u201ccinq \u00e0 sept\u201d \u2013 five to seven \u2013 that couple of hours where every self-respecting Frenchman nips off to his mistress after work before returning to his family.<\/p>\n All they need to deploy is a well-timed shrug and that erotic accent of theirs for knicker elastic to automatically loosen. Or so they think. I can\u2019t speak for French women, but here it doesn\u2019t work. Oh non, pas du tout.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Ms. Arnison's article<\/a> relates that the women in Scotland adore Fifty and \"have been snapping up this publishing phenomenon.
