{"id":2410,"date":"2012-06-13T07:51:09","date_gmt":"2012-06-13T11:51:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/quackingalone.com\/blog\/?p=2410"},"modified":"2012-06-13T19:16:53","modified_gmt":"2012-06-13T23:16:53","slug":"fifty-shades-through-the-masters-eyes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quackingalone.com\/blog\/2012\/06\/13\/fifty-shades-through-the-masters-eyes\/","title":{"rendered":"Fifty Shades Through The Master&#8217;s Eyes?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phenom author Erika Leonard (EL James) is considering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theweek.co.uk\/books\/47398\/el-james-plans-rewrite-fifty-shades-greys-perspective\" target=\"_blank\">rewriting Fifty Shades\u00a0of Grey\u00a0<\/a>from the POV of the hero, Christian Grey.\u00a0 The present trilogy is seen through the eyes of the heroine, Ana.\u00a0 The view from the eyes of the hero would look like a different tale entirely.<\/p>\n<p>As Leila, Grey's former submissive says, \"the Master is dark.\"\u00a0\u00a0The story seen through his eyes would be a dark, tangled and twisted tale.\u00a0 I'm not sure it would have been the sensation of the current books, as I don't know that a lot of readers would have bought the Master's Tale the first time around.\u00a0 However, after reading the story\u00a0from Ana's perspective, I think\u00a0the author could count on a lot of readers being interested in the troubled hero's thoughts of all the events Ana could see only through her innocent eyes.<\/p>\n<p>The story through Christian's eyes would be, like him, \"fify shades of fucked up.\"\u00a0 I bet it would be an amazing read but I think it would be very challenging to write.\u00a0\u00a0Christian Grey's POV is much more over-the-top so I'd be bound to like that version now, wouldn't I?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here's hoping that unlike Stephenie Meyer, Erika Leonard actually pulls it off.\u00a0 A trip down the dark side of desire through the eyes of fifty shades himself would be a unique literary journey.\u00a0 I only have one question:\u00a0 Would that make it \"daddy porn?\"<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phenom author Erika Leonard (EL James) is considering rewriting Fifty Shades\u00a0of Grey\u00a0from the POV of the hero, Christian Grey.\u00a0 The present trilogy is seen through the eyes of the heroine, Ana.\u00a0 The view from the eyes of the hero would look like a different tale entirely.
